David Simpson came late to writing. Born and bred in Worksop, Nottinghamshire, David spent 22 years in the mines, working at Manton Colliery, before the closure of the pit in 1994.

From an early age, David had always been interested in writing, although it was poetry that captured his imagination to begin with.

After his retirement David finally had the time to pursue his dream........to become a published author. This dream was achieved when he published his first novel,’ Claire’s Angel’, a fantasy thriller in 2018.

Now David really has the bug, and ‘ Storm Clouds', the follow up to his successful debut book has hit the shelves, with more projects, including a children’s book on the way.
